At 10:13 am, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Firefighters have been on scene fighting a vegetation fire at the Fulton Shipyard in Antioch. The fire is under control and they are remaining on scene as of 12:21 pm to ensure no additional flare ups occur.

While the cause is not yet official, it appears to be a case of a Styrofoam and gas combination which caused vegetation nearby to catch on fire where a homeless group has set up camp–the county is aware of this camp, but has not yet removed them from that location.

Engine 94 from East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was on scene to lend a hand along with Antioch Police.
