The Antioch Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Annual Golf Fore Business Day and a chance to win prizes on Friday, June 3rd, 2022. They are seeking golfers for the upcoming event.
This year’s event will be held at the Lone Tree Golf and Event Center in Antioch.
The inaugural event kicked off last year in response to COVID and an increase in crime and break-ins that impacted business according to Antioch Chamber of Commerce CEO Sean Wright.
Last year, they performed a survey of our business members to find out how they are doing and what we can do to help. They found out that 75% of our small businesses are drastically down in revenue with 20% likely to never reopen.
In response, the Chamber of Commerce created a fund to help businesses during the most unfortunate and demoralizing times. Many of our small business owners are working long hours and are worried about how they can increase revenue to make payroll. Imagine at this point getting hit by criminal behavior that breaks the front window, steals vital tools, or causes unforeseen mayhem that pushes their entrepreneurial dreams to the edge of closing.
The goal was to help Antioch businesses with costs to cover the deductible or donate just enough to make them whole and let them know that somebody cares and wants them to succeed.
The chamber is hosting a Business Day of Golf at Lone Tree Golf Course on Friday, June 3. They are looking for golfers, sponsors to play golf with them on that day, donate items for prizes, or purchase tickets for chances to win some great prizes.
