by ECT

On Thursday, bail was set at $4.2 million after an in-custody filing against the man who shot a fellow co-worker at Popeye’s in the City of Antioch on Monday.

Antoine Waller, 22 of Antioch,  is being charged with 3 felony counts which include attempted murder, unlawful firearm activity, and possession of ammunition. He also has a charge of Special Allegation — serious or violent felony prior.

According to police, Waller is a convicted felon and not able to legally possess a firearm.

The shooting occurred at 5:44 pm Monday in the 5000 block of Lone Tree Way where first responders located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was airlifted to a local hospital.

According to police,  witnesses on scene identified the suspect Waller, also an employee of Popeyes, who went home sick.  They located him in the 5000 block of Catanzaro Way. After a short standoff, he exited the home and surrendered.

Police said evidence linking Waller to the shooting was recovered inside the residence. The firearm believed to be used in the shooting was also located and had previously been reported stolen.

The arraignment is scheduled for Friday afternoon in Pittsburg.

We stopped going to POPEYE’S when they discontinued those fantastic ONION RINGS they made. Why they stopped serving those, is anybody’s guess. They were to-die-for. The rest of their stuff is deep fried stuff which is INEDIBLE!

Of course they do. They can work at doing situps, pushups and pullups all while trying to find Jesus behind bars while you go to work and pay for it all.

Cheryl, I know what you mean. We used to just get those great onion rings — double and triple portions — but then, suddenly, they said they no longer make those. Shame!

Waldo! Seriously! Either you’re pulling our collective leg, or you really need to take some REMEDIAL ENGLISH WRITING CLASSES! Your spelling suffers badly! Was the THIRD GRADE your SENIOR YEAR?

I don’t hire felons! Not on your life! They can start to rebuilt their lives by starting at the bottom and working their way up IF someone wants to take a chance on them.
