At 3:46 pm Tuesday, a 22-year-old Antioch man was shot in the lower back on E. 18th at Alpha Way and was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.
Shortly after the shooting, Antioch Police located an individual during an area check who had a gun. The subject took off on foot and began hopping fences in the area of Birch Ave and made his way across A Street before being taken into custody on Walter Way in front of Wheel Works Tires and ABC Bar.
AMR was requested to the scene after police stated that the subject suffered from a dog bite. According to radio traffic, the gun recovered was out of Oakland and labeled as “confidential” by the Oakland Police Department.
According to Antioch Police, the male armed with a hand gun was believed to be involved in the shooting and was arrested. The names of those involved are not being released at this time as this case still under investigation.

According to Antioch Police, the victim was still at the hospitals but his injuries are no longer considered life threatening. The dog bite was to the upper torso while the gun used in the shooting was potentially stolen out of Oakland but they are still investigating. Police will not be issuing any names this evening.

There is nothing wrong with posting his photo because he was taken into custody and is suspected in the shooting.
He IS guilty of fleeing the scene of a crime, running from the police and being in possession of a firearm. Just because we don’t know if he actually shot the guy we should protect his identity because he might be innocent? No, he’s already guilty of multiple things. He could have chosen a better path in life if he didn’t want his face plastered all over this website or crime scene. There’s billions of other people who’s faces will never show up in pictures like these. He made his choices.
I liked it better when the Hells Angels hung out here. Much safer than these reckless hoodrats. They can’t even get a job done right. Who remembers a mob member ever missing thier targets. These wanna be gangsters aren’t even good gangsters. They are failures at being failures. If I was them I’d hang up my guns & go to college or the military before I show the world I’m the loser people keep taking about.
