On Tuesday, just after 9:00 am, Contra Costa County Fire will be performing a controlled burn in the form of training at the hills at Vista Grande and Canada Valley in Antioch.
The training will be held Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm where lots of smoke is expected to be seen from parts of Antioch, Oakley and the bypass.
There is no cause for alarm as they will have firefighters, fire engines and dozers in the area. This is an annual training for CONFIRE and neighboring districts.
