Abatement Warrant at Pittsburg Home Leads to Multiple Narcotic Arrests and Stolen Vehicles

by ECT

Members of the Pittsburg Police Department’s Code Enforcement Division served an abatement warrant at a residence located on the 2100 block of Goff Avenue.

This location has been neglected by the occupants for several years and debris has been allowed to accumulate all over the front of the property. There has been no running water to the residence and numerous automobiles have been repaired and dismantled on the driveway and front lawn area all within public view.

The Pittsburg Police Department has received many complaints ranging from code enforcement violations to narcotic sales at this location. Additionally, Pittsburg police officers have arrested several subjects associated with this location for possessing narcotics for sales, possessing stolen vehicles and for fleeing from police.

During the service of the abatement warrant, a loaded sawed-off shotgun was found in the residence along with narcotics. A subject was arrested without incident. Debris was removed from the backyard and the property was boarded up.

Note: The names of those arrested have not been released by police.

It sounds like these issues with the house on Goff Avenue should of been handled sooner. I feel bad for the neighbors.
