by ECT

On Tuesday, the Hercules Police Department announced the arrest of Jesus Manuel Razo-Villanueva, a 31-year-old out of Pittsburg, after a traffic enforcement stop resulted in officers locating firearms and a ballistic vest

According to police, the traffic stopped occurred on July 25 at 12:30 am when an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Willow Ave and Hawthorne. During the stop, an officer observed an AR15 type rifle concealed on the left hand side of the driver.

At that point, officers removed the driver at gunpoint and later a concealed pistol was removed from the waistband (later determined to be an airsoft).

Police say the AR was determined to be an AR pistol. A search of the vehicle revealed a hi-capacity magazine loaded with 17 rounds of hollow point ammunition and a ballistic vest.

Drug paraphernalia was also located and a K-9 search was conducted with the assistance of the Pinole Police Department.

Razo-Villanueva was taken into custody and transported to County Jail.
