At 12:52 pm Monday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a vehicle crash on Sellers Avenue between Delta Road and Sunset Road in unincorporated Brentwood.
It was reported that the vehicle struck a pole and the driver was ejected. Units were dispatched as well as a medical helicopter.
By 12:58 pm, Engine 53 reported that the vehicle was on fire in a ditch with the patient self-extricating themselves from the vehicle. The incident also caused a small vegetation fire which was quickly extinguished.

Nice straight road, maybe there was an important text, oh well. Beyond time to cite cell phone users the sane ad DUI, get attention. We are fed up with distracted drivers. Lock them up!!!!

Idiots just can’t slow down there. They’ll pass you and then you see them again at the next stop sign. I’ve never seen that stretch patrolled ever.
I feel terrible for the long time residents that’ve lost their slower rural way of life with all the selfish fools moving out here.
