At 8:06 am Tuesday, Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of an overturned vehicle on westbound Highway 4 near Loveridge in Pittsburg.
The reported vehicle on its roof was a white pickup truck.
According to Truck 83 on scene, the incident involved 4-vehicles and was blocking 4-lanes of traffic.
By 8:17 am, CONFIRE requested a 3-additional AMR units for a total of 4-ambulances. All injuries were considered “minor” per radio traffic.

eBart PLEASE hurry up! I am sick of all these collisions. It only takes ONE idiot to cause a traffic nightmare for all of East County Commuters. Gosh!!!! Like totally!!!!
agreed. at fault collisions during rush hour on known hwys should come with harsh penalties since they are extremely costly.
I have yet to see any CHP officers monitoring traffic during the morning and late afternoon commute on Hwy 4 between Hillcrest and San Marcos. Where could they possibly be? Lately, there have been more crashes here than in other areas around this part of the county.
