At 5:06 pm, East Contra Costa firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle accident at Marsh Creek Road and Vasco which shut down the intersection.
According to the fire district, crews arrived on scene to a two vehicle accident with the north bound lane blocked. There were a total of three patients associated with the crash with moderate to minor injuries. All three patients were transported by AMR to John Muir Trauma Center in Walnut Creek.
The California Highway Patrol are currently investigating the crash. The incident required 7 ECCFPD personnel and were on scene for nearly 2-hours.

As a first-world country we have great roads and road services, yet no one can figure out why a road like Vasco can’t have a center divider to keep people from slamming into each other. It’s a mystery. Perhaps people love going 70 mph head on with the chances of imminent death at every car passing.
