Brentwood Police Nab Residential Burglary Suspect

The Brentwood Police Department reported that officers were called to a residence located on the 4600 block of Balfour Road, for a report of a burglary in progress last week.

The reporting party, who was watching via live feed video surveillance reported someone had broken into the home. When officers arrived at the residence, the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Agustin Martinez of Brentwood, was found hiding right outside of the home.

Officers quickly located Martinez and he was detained. They also found thousands of dollars of jewelry and other items on Martinez, which officers confirmed was stolen from the home.

Martinez, who is on active probation, was placed under arrest for burglary, possession of stolen property, probation violation, and other charges.

He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking.

Martinez Also Arrested on November 8 in Stolen Vehicle

According to the Brentwood Police Department, they arrested Martinez after a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle on November 8. Martinez, who is currently on felony probation, was also under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He was placed under arrest for vehicle theft, felony probation violation, DUI, and other related charges.

He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking.
