On Friday, the City of Brentwood announced due to excessive heat, they are closing the Family Aquatic Complex Sunday, Sept. 4 through Tuesday, Sept. 6.
According to the note:
For the health and safety of our staff and patrons, the Brentwood Family Aquatic Complex will be closed Sunday, September 4 through Tuesday, September 6 due to the excessive heat forecasted on those days.
The Brentwood Community Center, located at 35 Oak Street, will be open as a Cooling Center Saturday through Tuesday from 11:00am-6:00pm for those needing to escape the heat.

Los Vaqueros Closure Due to Possible High Fire Risk
The Los Vaqueros Watershed will be closed on Sunday, September 4, and Monday, September 5, due to excessive heat and the potential for extreme fire danger. The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the inland East Bay forecasting temperatures of 110 in Brentwood. Stay safe!

You can also go to locations in the Bay Area with cooler temperatures or other locations with air conditioning. If you plan to visit the beach, exercise caution as there may be riptides. Practice water safety, including wearing life vests when swimming or boating.
