Update: Evacuations on Marsh Creek Road Continue, Fire Grows to 1,100 Acres

by ECT

A fire that has grown to more than 400 acres Sunday has now prompted evacuations for residents along Marsh Creek Road between Bragdon Way and Deer Valley Road.

The order came from CALFIRE which has ordered residents to leave now by vehicle. Go south on Marsh Creek Road toward Brentwood. Take only those essential items you have ready and can carry with you.

Pets must be in a carrier or on a leash. Lock your windows and doors as you leave. Stay off the phone unless you need to report a life-threatening emergency at your location. However, if you are physically unable to leave your home unassisted, call 9 1 1 for help.

Children in school will be transported by school authorities: do not try to pick them up. For more information, contact Cal Fire at (408) 779-6611.

Evacuees from the Marsh Creek and Morgan Territory area fires can go to either the Community Center in Brentwood at 34 Oak St or the Safeway parking lot in Clayton at this time.

Monday Update: 7:30 am

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District reports Monday that the DeerZone Fire has grown to 600 acres. Evacuations are still in place on Morgan Territory.

8:30 am Update
CALFIRE confirmed the fire had grown to 1,161 acres and O% contained.

The government is hiding something, they are using this as an excuse to bring some sort of special piece of equipment. And they need everyone to not be in their homes to avoid them seeing anything! Don’t drink the koolaid!

What? Can you be more specific?

That’s one of dumbest things I’ve heard in sometime

I love these theory conspiracies! Soo interesting… but weirdly enough these same people that don’t trust their government as far as they can throw them often want universal “free” health care and “free” college. Seems silly to not trust them when there’s a brush fire… but trust them to educate and heal our country.

You apparently have already drank the koolaid!!

What is the condition of the Marsh Creek Springs area where the Mc Hugh family live? I was going to look at one of the cabins up there with intentions of moving in if my findings where reasonable. But know I can’t get near and don’t know if it even still exist’s. A little worried for John and family, he’s a very friendly man and Marsh Creek Springs was devastated twice by floods , This is not good. Best of luck to the Mc Hugh family and happy birthday John who I think is turning 93. God Bless
