G&S Farms in the City of Brentwood announced that as it moves forward with its annual U-Pick Cherry Season, it has made adjustments to this season by reducing visitor capacity and will require all picking be scheduled in advance, by appointment only.

According to G&S Farms, they have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 health crisis and trying to navigate what it means for their business and were taking safety precautions.

We will enforce the Contra Costa County Health Ordinance requirement that everyone over 12 years old MUST wear a mask at ALL times while on the farm.
We will require all visitors to complete our safety waiver/registration form online prior to appointment time
We will not allow groups of more than 10 people
We will screen our employees at the start of each shift to make sure they do not display signs of sickness
We will provide hand sanitizer for our customers and will encourage use upon entering and exiting our farm
We will provide heavy duty, single use plastic bags for picking, no buckets
We will support contactless payment if possible, like exact change cash transactions or self-managed credit card payment.
We will sanitize our check in booth and pay stations between customers.
We will restrict visitors from entering our orchards with bags, ice chests/food, large purses, blankets, chairs, etc.
We will not provide ladders but will allow customers to bring in their own step stools
We will respect and abide by all recommended State, County and community guidelines including social distancing, contactless interactions and employee mask uniforming.
