Updated: 4 Injured in Head-on Crash Involving Tri Delta Transit Bus in Antioch

At approximately 7:30 pm Monday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a head-on vehicle crash involving a Tri Delta Transit bus in the area of Delta Fair Blvd and Century in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival, it was stated that 1 vehicle sustained major front-end damage and a bus was also damaged. A total of 4 people were injured which prompted 4 AMR units to the scene–including a pediatric patient.

A total of 4-people were transported to hospitals.

The Antioch Police Department has not yet released any information on the crash.

ANTIOCH, CA. On September 5, 2022, at approximately 9:30 PM, Antioch Police Dispatch began receiving numerous 911 calls regarding a major injury collision around Delta Fair Boulevard and Century Boulevard.

Witnesses stated a sedan crossed the center median into oncoming traffic and collided with a Tri-Delta bus. The collision caused major front-end damage to both vehicles. Officers and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and began performing medical treatment for the involved parties.

As a result of the collision, a 30-year-old female, as well as a 3-year-old infant, sustained injuries and were both transported to local hospitals. None of the other parties suffered injuries other than complaints of pain.

Antioch Police would like to thank Con Fire, AMR, and the Pittsburg Police Department who all assisted with this incident.

This is an ongoing and active investigation; no further information will be released at this time.
