3-Year-Old Injured After Fall From Second-Story Window in Pittsburg

At 11:45 am Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a child who fell out of a window on Cape May Drive in the City of Pittsburg.

While responding, it was learned that a 3-year-old fell out of a second story window with unknown injuries.  A medical helicopter was requested.

Engine 86 arrived on scene reporting this was an approximate 15-ft fall onto concrete, the child was conscious. The medical helicopter had a 33-minute ETA to the scene.

By 12;04 pm, due to time and distance of the helicopter, E86 opted for a ground transport.
