At 10:34 am Monday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash at Minnesota Avenue at Sand Creek Road in the city of Brentwood.
Upon arrival, units located a five vehicle crash plus a bicyclist involved. A medical helicopter was requested.
A total of two patients were critical and another two sustained minor injuries. One patient was flown out by medical helicopter and another transported by ground ambulance.
Brentwood Police temporarily shutdown the westbound direction of Sand Creek at O’Hara Road and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
