Vasco Car Crash Victim Thanks Kindness of Strangers Who Assisted Her Family

Lori Porter has a message of thanks for those who stopped to help her and her kids after a vehicle accident on Vasco Road last week.

Porter left us the following message to share with our readers:

My kids and I were involved in the Vasco crash on Wednesday. I just wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the people who stopped to help us. The kindness of strangers is overwhelming. We were lucky to walk away with bruises and achy bodies.

The three-vehicle accident occurred at 1:40 pm on November 25 which shut down Vasco Road in both directions and a medical helicopter was required to transport one patient.

Angela-TilleyA total of five patients were triaged with four=patients being injured.

CHP also highlighted that an off-duty nurse happened to be by this location almost immediately following the crash and stopped to render medical aid to the injured until firefighters, paramedics, and CHP arrived on scene.

Vasco Road was re-opened by 3:30 pm.

According to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, initial reports indicate a vehicle was attempting to make a U-turn on Vasco Road and collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on Vasco Road. The incident is currently under investigation by CHP for exact cause
