At 2:34 pm Saturday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the Holiday Inn on Brentwood Blvd on a report of people trapped in an elevator.
Originally, it was reported as two people trapped, but later updated to a total of four.
According to Battalion Chief 5, as of 3:00 pm, four people were confirmed trapped and were currently on scene awaiting for an elevator company to arrive.
Contra Costa County Fire and AMR are also on scene assisting with a medic unit standing by.
The elevator company is currently en route, but not expected on scene until 4:30 pm.
Update
As of 3:30 pm, Battalion 5 reported that all occupants of the elevator were rescued and they were preparing the clear the scene.
