Pink Plates Campaign Nearing 7,500 Sign-up Goal

by ECT

The folks at Pinkplate.org announced they are just 380 sign-ups short of reaching their 7,500 goal which will allow the DMV to start production.

The campaign was started by four East Contra Costa County cancer survivors (Heather Solari, Chere Rush, Deborah Bordeau and Heather McCullough) where they brought the idea to Assemblymember Joan Buchanan who then authored AB 49.

You can support the Pink Ribbon License Plates by signing up by www.pinkplate.org.

They need to reach their goal by July before DMV will start production. Proceeds from the plate go to the Every Woman Counts program which provides free breast cancer exams and screenings.

The Mission:

Our mission is to educate, promote and raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness in California. Early detection saves lives. We can think of no better way to spread this message than through the California Pink Ribbon License Plate.

All funds generated from sales of the California Pink Ribbon License Plate will be deposited into the Breast Cancer Control Account, which funds the Every Woman Counts (EWC) program (click here). EWC is administered by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and provides free clinical breast exams and mammograms to California’s underserved women.

The mission of the EWC is to save lives by preventing and reducing the devastating effects of cancer for Californians through education, early detection, diagnosis, and integrated preventive services, with special emphasis on the underserved. The EWC program partners with county departments of public health and county health consortia across California to provide women with local, easy access to screenings.

We know that early detection is critical in treating breast cancer and increasing survival rates. Money generated from the California Pink Ribbon License Plate will allow more women across California to get regular breast exams and mammograms, potentially saving the lives of countless women.

Can’t believe it’s 2017 and the sheep still haven’t caught on to the pink scam. The whole pink movement is a reason why people should be so skeptical of charities and non profits. But these are people who are willing to give to churches too, another tax evading, tax write off joke.

Kendell Watkins, Komen is a scam. However if you read the website, the money from these plates goes to a program that actually provides free breast and cervical cancer screening to women in California. Not just “awareness”. This is a good thing.

Plus if you use promo code PINK you get a free plate.
