Eagle Scout Project Restores Chichibu Park Japanese Garden, Pagoda

by ECT

On Saturday, a group of 50 community members joined Eagle Scout Tyler Wright as he aimed to restore a Japanese Garden and Pagoda at Chichibu Park in Antioch.

According to Wright, he chose this project because he did not like that kids used the river rocks to destroy a sign while graffiti had over taken the pagoda. Wright had been working with the City of Antioch to restore the 40 year old plaques donated by our Sister City and desecrated by vandals and recreate the beautiful Rock River.

During the efforts, new river rocks were added and they repainted the Pagoda.

Great work. Glad to see people pull together and make something beautiful. Interesting how the pictures are missing something.
