Brentwood: Vehicle Crash Blocks Marsh Creek Road, 4 AMR Units Requested

At 9:54 am Saturday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash blocking lanes in the City of Brentwood.

The incident occurred on Marsh Creek Road near Walnut. Engine 52 and AMR arrived on scene to a three vehicle crash blocking lanes.

Engine 52 requested a total of 4-AMR units to the scene with three of them being Code 3.

Marsh Creek Road at Vasco has shut down.

No doubt caused by out of town produce shoppers/packers. They are the worst drivers…they are unfamiliar with the area and are too occupied looking for farms/stands and not paying close enough attention to traffic.

Everyone who drives MCR, Deer Valley and Vasco thinks they’re either invincible or a world class racer. They’re neither. I live on MCR and I can’t count how many idiots I’ve seen wreck their car, injure themselves, and far too often someone else as well.
So, personally, I have no doubt that it was probably locals going way too fast because they think since it’s a familiar area they can handle it.

It’s a hell of a hard and expensive lesson to learn.
