At 5:15 pm Sunday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters and Brentwood police responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Beatrice Street off Dainty Ave in the City of Brentwood.
A male suspect was shot in the leg and a medical helicopter was requested. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is expected to be recover.
According to sources, the shooting was believed to be accidental in nature. Police did not release any details on scene.
