At 9:40 am, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire in the 4800 block of Wexler Peak Way in the City of Antioch.
Initial reports were that a truck was on fire in the driveway which extended to the front of the home causing it to also catch fire. A short time after dispatch, Antioch Police arrived on scene to a home on fire and were attempting to evacuate the occupants.
By 9:53, Engine 88 arrived on scene saying this was a compartment fire that extended to the ease-way of the home.
By 9:55, the fire was deemed knocked down and they were checking for extensions.
