Antioch Rape Victim Thanks Community for Support

by ECT

A rape victim who made national headlines in February after being raped while delivering a pizza wanted reach out to thank the community for their support.

The Antioch female, who wished to keep her identity private, thanked the community, police officers and medical personal for assisting her after the incident. She also wanted to thank residents of the community who went out of their way and perform random acts of kindness.

She stated that people dropped off a quilt, a teddy bear, and a panda at the police department. She says small acts of kindness made a difference in her life during her time of need.

Here is her message:

“Hi everyone,

I’m the delivery driver who was raped in February of this year.

I just wanted to reach out and thank the person who left me this beautiful quilt, teddy bear and card at the police department and the person who left me this gigantic (it’s about an inch shorter than myself) stuffed panda bear at Domino’s.

While I’d love to contact you personally, I’m just not quite ready for that. I just wanted to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. I don’t think I could ever truly express how much it meant to me, and still means to me. I find so much comfort in these items, they remind me of all the wonderful and selfless people that are out there when I’m struggling to believe so. Just know that you truly made a difference in my life when I needed it most.

Also a thank you to those who left comments on the initial news articles sending your love and prayers, I was grateful and touched by all of them.

If you left any of these items for her, please email us and we can pass along your information. [email protected]

The city leaders are soft on criminals. I’m talking about the city council and the mayor.
