Antioch: Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Fully Involved Porch Fire

At roughly 3:04 pm Sunday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Firefighters responded to a reported Commercial Fire on Carlton Lane in Antioch off Buchanan Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a fully involved porch on fire which was quickly extinguished but had extended into the townhome which was also extinguished before major damage could occur to the building and other units.

Firefighters were on scene for just under an hour while the incident also closed down Buchanan Road in the westbound direction at San Jose Drive as crews potentially had to run hose across the street. Fortunately, firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly. A neighboring apartment was also evacuated as a precaution.
