A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg Saturday night in Antioch during a fight on the 1500 block of Sandy Way.
Antioch police responded to a 9-1-1 call of a fight in the area of Sandy Way with gunshots being fired. Officers arrived and encountered a group of approximately fifty subjects in the street.
Units on scene immediately requested cover due to the crowd.
Upon initial investigation, police located the 14-year-old who had been struck in the leg by fragments and sustained a non-life threatening injury. The juvenile was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later released.
According to police, no one else was injured in the incident.
There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation is still on-going.
