Delta 2000 the Rivertown Resource Center has been around for over 35 years; Since 1989 We have assisted in more than 86 grassroots organizations and have the privilege of working with some of the best non-profit programs that once started from their kitchen table. Today they are strong and successful programs that are providing great services for community throughout Contra Costa County.
Moving the needle on community problems takes the coordinated effort of many agencies,
Non-profit play a key role in economic health of neighborhoods, towns and cities and by working together for social change,
Not by closing the doors on a Resource center that has been providing services for over 40 years to our resident of East County. The Antioch City, has given these non-profit a 30 day notice with know replacement property to provide these services or compensation for these leases that are going to be broken.
What Non-profit would trust the City of Antioch not to back out of anything at this time. and after 2 or 3 years when this property has been revamped 1.5 million; will these City Council member still be around?
There Jobs is for the people of Antioch and there future, not for there’s.
The whole idea for the Rivertown Resource Center was to help build Community powered organizations while Local leaders solved their most pressing problems creating a platform for advocacy and social change.
