Since almost every July 4th parade is boring as h**l, merely an excuse for local insurance agents and politicians to drape themselves in red, white and blue attire ( and ride in nice vintage convertibles), who cares about them at all? Cancel the parades and the nonsense fireworks displays and make the day a patriotic car show and entertainment event? At sunset, pack up and go home
