At 5:59 am Thursday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a house on fire at D Street and Drake St in the City of Antioch.
While responding firefighters reported a large column of black smoke showing and when they arrived on scene, located a home engulfed in flames on all four sides. There was also a second structure on fire.
Firefighters made quick work of the fire and limited the damage to surrounding structures.
According to Battalion 8, the two structures that caught fire were both under construction and they were investigating the incident. No further information was available.
Crews were on scene for just under 2-hours.
