The following video was posted March 18, 2015 where Antioch Police was caught on video stopping a residential burglary.
The video, posted by Marcus Carnero, shows the following:
Two BM’s tried to rob my neighbors house in the middle of the day. We noticed them passing through the neighborhood moments before the attempted robbery. When we first saw them they were on scooters. When they returned they had empty bags on their shoulders.
I truly hope that all citizens of Antioch have their neighbors back’s. That we remain vigilant and steadfast in our community.

Did they arrest the 2nd theif?
Even if they didn’t arrest the 2nd thief initially, its just a matter of time before that thief gets arrested.

Everyone’s heard the statistics by now. . .about 13% of these crimes get solved, and it only ever happens when they’re caught just like this. Did they kick the door in, or break a window?

At least there are some tools out there to help now. You can actually keep an eye on your property while you’re gone and have alerts sent out, and you can keep your sliding door from being lifted out of its tracks.

Great job by the police. I loved the part at 0:45 where the first thief was spooked and tried to run away but the 2nd thief went through the fence first which made it possible for the cop to arrest him.

We should do a million man march in the streets of Antioch. Looking at the video only proves the fact that they weren’t burglars, but selling girl scout cookies.

Sometimes people don’t focus on the important things. I asked earlier what was ur street bc I had an run in with a few guys who tried to steal my car. However, I was in the car and they failed. If we are close I will keep an eye on ur house for u. What did the guys take from u? Sorry for ur lost.

What has happened to Antioch in the past 10-15 years? since the Gas City ‘Riot’ a few years ago, the youth population has become more emboldened to break the law. Residents and neighbors need to band together and help APD enforce the law and encourage positive youth attitude and activities.
