On June 8, approximately 150 people came together at Antioch City Park in the City of Antioch for a Black Lives Matter Peaceful Protest where they started at the park and walked several blocks to the Antioch Police Department.
Once at the police department, several people spoke, a poem was presented and they called for change while taking a knee for 8-minutes 45-seconds for George Floyd. Several people spoke in reference to police brutality including by members of the Antioch Police Department and called for change. The event was MC was Shagoofa Khan.

Thank you Antioch PD for respecting the right to free speech & not making battle with these peaceful protestors. It’s refreshing to see this, as this hasn’t been the case for a lot of other cities around the U.S. Thank you

The question that needs to be answered and the problem that needs to be solved is: How does a Police Officer safely both to himself and others get a suspect into the Police Vehicle who is under arrest but is resisting arrest, spitting, screaming, yelling, refusing to go, is intoxicated with drugs and/or alcohol and trying to get away? How does an Officer do that? So it will please everyone? A tranquilizer dart?
