Update: Pittsburg Woman Dies in Kirker Pass Vehicle Accident

The California Highway Patrol stated Saturday that a 23 year old woman from Pittsburg, sustained fatal injuries in a traffic collision Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 3:15 PM. The man had been driving a 2008 Hyundai Elantra northbound in the left lane of Kirker Pass Road, north of Hess Road. For yet to be determined reasons, the vehicle spun out, veered onto the right dirt shoulder, where it struck a telephone pole and overturned.

The Elantra came to rest on its roof within the far right lane of traffic. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of this traffic collision and he appears to have properly worn his seatbelt.

Update:
Authorities identified the victim Tajinder Kaur, a 23-year-old Pittsburg resident was the victim of the crash, according to the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office.
