Update: 61-Year-Old Man Killed in Stabbing on Alpha Way

At 5:03 pm Friday, Antioch Police responded to a report of a stabbing on Alpha Way off E. 18th Street in the City of Antioch.

One the scene was secure, Engine 88 from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District provided patient care with AMR for a male victim. They reported a “pretty significant” injury and requested a medical helicopter.

They were looking to land the medical helicopter in the parking lot near Wienerschnitzel.

It was reported that the male was approximately 60-years-old with multiple stab wounds including one to his neck, stomach and hand.

UPDATE
Antioch Police say the 61-year-old man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.  A 28-year-old man was contacted at the scene of the crime where he was later arrested after being interviewed by officers.

This is now the 8th homicide of 2019 in Antioch.

A stab would in the neck is extremely serious! The name of the victim has not been made public.

If the guy the police picked up was found by the stabbed victim, I bet he was covered with blood. A stab wound to the neck just gushes out blood, almost as bad as wound to the head! Poor guy!

Why no more information on this victim? No name! Who was he? What were the circumstances? Robbery? Victim and assailant knew each other?
