Suspect Arrested After Antioch Man “Sliced” on Cavallo Road

At roughly 12:58 pm Monday, Antioch Police responded to a report of a stabbing on Cavallo Road near E. 18th.

Police arrived on scene to find a man who had been sliced across the chest. The man was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, this stemmed from an altercation which is being classified as an “attempted robbery”. Police were able to track down the suspect about two-blocks away and positively identified. Police said the suspect is an adult male from Antioch.

No further information was provided.

Seems as if this area (Cavallo up to Wilbur, down to Tregallas, and the commercial area along E. 18th) is becoming the new Sycamore corridor. I hope it will be contained before it escalates to that. Incidents seem to be particularly violent there when they occur.

Drug dealers, prostitution, young kids looking for trouble.
This area needs a second look.
