Supervisor Glover: Symposium to Write Better Grant Applications

by ECT

PITTSBURG – The popular biannual symposium sponsored by Contra Costa County Supervisor Federal Glover on how to write successful grant applications is now open for registration.

“Those agencies and nonprofit groups providing safety net services always need alternative sources of funding for their programs or supplement their services,” said county Glover.

Local government agencies have also taken advantage of the workshops to secure federal and state funding for some of their county or city projects.

After holding seminars in Martinez and Crockett, Glover is returning the grant application-writing workshop to Los Medanos College on Sept. 30. This is the seventh year the supervisor has been offering the free day-long workshops, which are held twice a year.

Details of the seminar are:

  • SEMINAR: Writing Winning Proposals: Grant Research, Writing & Administration
  • WHEN: Sept. 30, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • WHERE: Los Medanos College, 2700 East Leland Road, Pittsburg, Room L109
