The community is invited to attend the Back to School Stuff the Bus School Supply Giveaway event which will be held on August 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the parking lot at the Somersville Towne Center in the city of Antioch.
This is a FREE event serving East Contra Costa County (Antioch, Pittsburg, Bay Point, Brentwood, Oakley). The event will be set up as a Drive-thru grab and go as well as in-person to allow students and their parents/guardians to get supplies.
There will be a limited number of Warriors backpacks, a few surprises for students from Najee Harris including backpacks and an assortment of school supplies to start students on the right track.
This year will include a Vaccine Clinic. If you or your children 12 and older have not been vaccinated, the event will provide a great opportunity while you get FREE school supplies get a FREE Vaccine shot.
In previous years, the giveaway assisted more than 5,000 students in the City of Antioch, City of Brentwood, City of Oakley, City of Pittsburg.
The event has continued support from the Golden State Warriors, Adonal Foyle and his Kerosene Lamp Foundation, Sharon Beswick Foundation, Celebrate Antioch Foundation, the Antioch Rotary Club, the Antioch Schools Education Foundation, her high school classmate Najee Harris who recently got drafted as a 1st round pick in the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers with his new non-profit organization Da’ Bigger Picture and so many more donors and sponsors.
