The Stockton Police Department says a school resource officer took a gun off a student during a fight at Lincoln High School in the City of Stockton.
The incident occurred Monday during lunch when the fight occurred. It was during the fight when the student pulled out a loaded handgun. After a brief struggle, a Stockton Police School Resource Officer disarmed the student and was able to take him into custody.
Two students received minor injuries.
Officers say they arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of battery, resisting arrest, making criminal threats, and weapons charges.
Stockton Police said the investigation was still active.
