The Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District announced that on Saturday between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., they will be fogging three areas within the City of Pittsburg.
Although there currently is no West Nile virus detected in the area, there are reportedly a high number of mosquitoes in the area and they will be fogging by hand-held ultra-low volume sprayers and by ultra-low volume truck mounted sprayers to control adult mosquitoes.
LOCATION: California Seasons Park, Deanza Park and Pittsburg
Area 1: California Seasons Park (Pittsburg)
The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Seasons Way; on the east by Seasons Drive; on the south by Cider Mill Court; and on the west by Winter Way.
Area 2: Deanza Park (Pittsburg)
The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Trident Drive; on the east by East Trident Drive; on the south by Leeward Place; and on the west by Nautilus Place.
The area to be treated is boarded on the north by Andrea Way; on the east by Bodega Drive; on the south by Delta View Golf Course property; and on the west by John Henry Johnson Parkway.
The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Rock Ridge Way; on the east by Begonia Court; on the south by Daffodil Drive; and on the west by Jacqueline Drive
MATERIALS USED: The insecticide to be used is Zenivex E4, RTU applied at a rate of 1.5 ounces per acre by hand-held ultra-low volume sprayers and truck mounted ultra-low volume sprayers.
