Pleasanton: Robbery Suspect Hits Home Depot Security Officer with Vehicle, Suspects Get Away

Sunday night at 10:20 PM, Pleasanton Police Officers responded to a report of a robbery at Home Depot (6000 Johnson Drive). A Home Depot Loss Prevention Officer attempted to apprehend a female who had just stolen several power tools.
The female was being detained in the parking lot by the loss prevention officer when her accomplice drove up in a vehicle and intentionally ran into the loss prevention officer knocking him to the ground. The female got into the vehicle and the two fled onto Owens Drive toward Johnson Drive. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
According to Pleasanton Police Sergeant Eric Gora, the loss prevention officer sustained an injury to his knee and several scrapes and bruises but is expected to make a full recovery.

Suspects are described as:
  • Suspect #1: White/Female/Adult; 25-30 years old, about 5’06” and 160 lbs. She was wearing a light colored shirt, black leggings with glitter and white tennis shoes.
  • Suspect #2: White/Male/Adult: No further description.
  • Suspect Vehicle: Gold, older model Lexus or Acura 4 Door Sedan.
