Pleasanton Police Say Man Opened Fire as Men Tried to Steal His SUV

The Pleasanton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in an investigation into an attempted auto theft that resulted in shots fired.

Pleasanton Police Department is currently investigating an attempted auto theft that resulted in gunfire and asks anyone who may have witnessed or has information about this incident to call (925) 931-5100.

On June 28, 2022, at approximately 4:50 a.m., the Pleasanton Police Department received multiple reports of gunshots in the parking lot of Canyon Meadows neighborhood. When officers arrived on scene, they learned a victim had confronted two suspects inside and around his vehicle.

The victim was pepper sprayed by a suspect and heard a shot fired towards him.

The victim, who was legally in possession of a firearm and able to carry, fired multiple rounds towards the suspects. Two vehicles in the parking lot were struck by bullets. The suspects fled in a pickup truck out of the complex in an unknown direction.

At this time, Police have not received reports of any injuries related to this incident. Pleasanton detectives are on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Police Investigating Robbery in Danville After Gunfire Exchanged

At around 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, Danville Police received notification of shots fired on Hartford Road in Danville between Rutherford Drive and Camino Amigo. Police advised residents to avoid the area.

Several suspects attempted to rob four residents who had just parked their vehicle on the 200 block of Hartford Road. The suspects were armed with handguns. There was an exchange of gunfire between the robbery suspects and a neighbor who witnessed the robbery. The suspects fled in their vehicle.  Full Story – click here
