Pittsburg Police Recover Stolen Van, Seek Owner of Purple Heart, Firearms and Safe

On Wednesday, the Pittsburg Police Department reported they received a report of a stolen van in the area of Railroad Avenue and East 3rd Street that was being tracked by “OnStar.”

Police say officers arrived on scene and located the stolen van. Two suspects fled the area on foot and they were both apprehended a short time later without incident.

During a search of the stolen van, this black gun safe along with multiple firearms and a “Purple Heart” were located inside.  Police are looking for the owner of a safe, guns and a “Purple Heart”. Police

UPDATE:

Suspects identified as Eddie Martinez, 43 of Martinez and Matthew Townsend, 33 of Bethel Island. Both suspects were arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest.
