The Pittsburg Police announced Wednesday that at 3:30 am, they were dispatched to the Hampton Inn (1201 California Avenue, Pittsburg) for a burglary in progress.
According to police, the manager from the hotel was watching a possible car burglary in progress, via video surveillance.
Captain Ron Raman stated in a press release that officers arrived on scene and contacted one of the suspects (Sergio Verduzco – Oakland Resident) in the parking lot. Officers determined Berduzco was associated with a vehicle in the parking lot, which was stolen out of the City of Antioch. A second suspect was located inside of the stolen vehicle (Richard Lewis – Pittsburg Resident). Both suspects had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
The victim of the auto burglary (Jose Canseco) was contacted at the hotel.
He identified property in the suspect vehicle as belonging to him. Both suspects were arrested on their warrants and an additional charge of burglary and transported to county jail.
They were later transported to county jail.

He plays baseball on a minor league team in downtown Pitt. My brother flew home to see him (a bash brother) play about a year ago.
