Pittsburg Police Investigating Monday Night Shooting on Suzanne Drive

On Monday evening, just after 7:00 P.M., Pittsburg Police Officers responded to the area of Buchanan Road and Harbor Street in regards to a subject shot in the leg.  As officers arrived at the location, they contacted a man who had sustained several gunshot wounds to both lower legs and his forearm.

Officers quickly provided the man with medical aid, and applied a tourniquet to his right arm to stop the bleeding. The man was initially transported to and area hospital and listed in stable condition, but due to his age, was later transported to Oakland Children’s Hospital for additional treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, officers learned the man and a family member were seating in a vehicle in the 4200 block of Suzanne Drive.  As the man got out of the vehicle, he heard several gunshots in the area.  The man began to run from the area, when he was struck with several rounds fired by the unknown suspect.

The suspect is unknown at this time and fled the area in an unknown direction.  Detective have been assigned to the case and are working on leads and attempting to identify those involved.

Can’t figure out how Harbor Street was a part of this, this all happened at Buchanan Rd and Suzanne Dr.
