Pittsburg Police: Homicide Suspect Photo Released

The Pittsburg Police are asking for the public’s help in searching for Robert Grant who is wanted in connection with a January homicide. Grant is considered armed and dangerous.

On Thursday, the Pittsburg Police Department released photographs of Robert Grant, a suspect in the January 29 killing of 20-year-old Pittsburg resident Timothy Smith around 9:00 am at the Union 76 gas station at 2150 Railroad Avenue.

Police have since arrested several people in connection with the investigation including Grants brother. Robert Grant has evaded police with consistent trips across the Bay after many leads fell short.

Grant is aware police are looking for him, Raman said. If somebody encounters Grant, they should call 9-1-1. If anyone knows where he might be, they should call the Pittsburg Police Department tip line at 925-427-7369.

Renard Curry was taken into custody in connection with the investigation of the killing of Timothy Smith, a 20 year old Pittsburg resident, who was shot and killed at the Union 76 Gas Station at 2150 Railroad Avenue. Robert Grant, who is Curry’s brother, is still being sought in connection with this murder. Grant is considered armed and dangerous and is aware that the police are actively looking for him.(Pittsburgh Police Department)
