Pittsburg Police Catch Armed Robbery Suspect

On April 25, at 1:13 pm, Pittsburg Police called Antioch Police dispatch advising they had an armed robbery of the Cricket Wireless on Buchanan Rd. in Pittsburg and a citizen was following the suspect vehicle on Buchanan Rd toward Antioch.

James CayabyabThe vehicle parked near Mission Dr. and Buchanan Rd. and the main suspect, 26 year old James Cayabyab fled from the car. Pittsburg officers caught James who was still armed with the black handgun with a laser site and the stolen cash.

The blue Hyundai Sonata fled and was stopped in the old Food Maxx parking lot. The driver was 24 year old Stephanie Lara.

Pittsburg PD took all subjects into custody and no further assistance was needed by APD units.
