At 4:17 pm Wednesday, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire in the creek area near the Wood Manor Apartments in the 800 block of E Leland Road in the City of Pittsburg.
Firefighters arrived on scene and reported the fire was less than 1/8 of an acre with slow spread. Pittsburg Police were dispatched for traffic control.
By 4:25 pm, forward progress was stopped according to firefighters and requested just two additional units to continue to the scene.
