Pittsburg: 5 Displaced After Apartment Fire Sunday Morning

At 10:27 am Sunday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of an apartment fire in the 2100 block of Crestview Lane in the city of Pittsburg.

While responding, firefighters reported light smoke a few blocks out and arrived on scene to smoke and flames coming from a second story apartment. Crews began making fire attack and were able to limit the damage to one unit which was a complete loss after the fire made its way into the attic.

The Red Cross was requested for a three adults and two children.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported.
