Wtf how does this even happen

Totally preventable Jul 24, 2019 - 6:57 pm

IF this happened the way it is written, this happens when an untrained/uneducated young man gets a hold of a unlocked loaded firearm. Folks need to learn that the key with firearms is education not isolation. Of course they need to be kept secured as well, but during the education you teach a firearm is ALWAYS loaded, and things like this are mitigated.

By someone having readily available gun or guns at their disposal. Maybe negligent parents and a kid with a suicidal thoughts. Or even just a Meir accident.

What exactly is a “Meir” accident? Never heard of it.

Unfortunate situation Jul 24, 2019 - 9:37 pm

In situations like this, it’s very unfortunate to hear a child having easy access to a loaded gun. CPS should investigate to make sure additional children do not reside in the home, 15 year old isn’t on drugs/alcohol, and adults residing in home are coherent. The guardians seem negligent and should not have children under their care. Guardians should be thankful that their child was breathing and conscience because this could have turned into a very unfortunate situation.

Where are the frigin parents? Supervision of male 15 year olds is paramount to the beginning of responsibility and a start to adulthood. Parents and teachers need to take this time in a young persons life seriously. Very sad, very sad.

Charge the parents, it happened under their supervision or lack of.

At 3:30 pm on a Wednesday, the parents were probably at work. Maybe they didn’t even own guns. Maybe one of the kids brought a gun to that house.

We absolutely need a law that no minor can be left unattended. The minor has to be under the supervision of an ADULT — not some 18 or 19 year old, but someone over 21 who is responsible.

I see kids ages 7 and 9 left alone in their houses while the parents are at work. This can be very dangerous for the kids. In our neighborhood, the kids were playing with matches and caused fires.

Parents need to be charged for all the expenses accrued- hospital bill, helicopter lift, etc. it’s unfair hardworking tax dollars are paying for such ignorance. Very unfair situation and after hearing about what just happened at the Gilroy Garlic festival, this is a warning that something needs to be done.

I wonder what kind of people brought up that moron who killed people in Gilroy! Hopefully, that becomes part of the investigation. It’s quite doubtful that this guy became such a hater overnight! Maybe his three brothers could shed some light on this. And what’s with the weird first names? Santino? Brother Rosino?
