Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a residential fire on the 400 block of H. Street in Antioch yesterday afternoon around 5:20 pm that caused roughly $200,000 in damage to a beautiful Victorian home.

Fire crews worked quickly to save the home entitled as “Ragtime Manor” as a fire began on the second story and worked its way to the attic.  No one was hurt or injured in the blaze.  Here is the link to the story on this incident from the Contra Costa Times.

Engines 81, 82, 85, 86, 87, 88, BS107, BC 2, BC 8, Q 84, TC 10, were all on scene with other emergency personnel which included Antioch Police and PG&E. Crews were on scene for 4 hours and 52 minutes.

as always, great photos and fire coverage. I’ve driven by this home several times. It’s a beautiful home and glad they were able to save most of the structure.

Nice pictures. It’s a shame. I grew up in that house from when I was 10. This was my best friends house. A lot of memories. Glad it wasn’t a total loss. Good job ConFire!! Thanks for sharing Mike & Nate.
